SAP BASIS practitioner since 1999, with deep experience across system architecture, cloud migration, OS/DB migrations, and security hardening. Certified in SAP OS/DB Migration and SAP Portal. I have delivered BASIS services for globally recognised clients — including those with stringent security clearance requirements — in roles spanning Transport Manager, Transition Manager, and emergency troubleshooting.
Currently the Head of SAP Technical Services at Birchman, managing the SAP BASIS and internal IT teams.
Previously, the SAP Technical Lead for many projects at Capgemini and Barclays Bank; I have managed teams spanning UK, USA and India.
From requirements gathering through to delivery, I design SAP technical solutions that fit the business — not just the spec. My architecture work covers system upgrades, service integrations, and on-premise to cloud migrations, at both small-scale and enterprise level.
I have led many SAP projects, including guiding organisations through smooth ECC to S/4HANA conversions. I love putting together clear, practical project plans, working closely with talented teams, and bringing strategies to life to make transitions as seamless as possible. With a deep understanding of SAP systems, I oversee every step of the journey, from gathering needs, estimating costs and managing risks; to launching and supporting post-go-live. Delivering real business benefits and a more efficient way of working.
Have created several personal and commercial websites. I enjoy working on the UI, UX and all the things you don't see behind the scenes (making sites that perform well, have good SEO and SEM, A/B testing, e-mail strategy, etc).
Since 1999, I have built my career across four respected employers — Barclays Bank, Deloitte, Capgemini, and Birchman — while delivering for a wide range of recognisable clients across the UK, Johannesburg, and remotely in Belgium, Switzerland, and the CIS.
In my current role as Head of SAP Technical Services, I manage the SAP BASIS and Network teams. I also do project management, transition management, technical architecture and presales.
In my spare time, I enjoy designing and developing websites (including Cornish Flora, Moorespeed, OKZest, RunSAPnow and SelfCrypto), cars, photography, travel, various sports and (with 2 young children) family events.
